Not the first time you've taken that memory home.

[ She can quip back too! Even all of the times they fought, now they were here... It took a long time to get here too. Felicia hates being wrong, but she can admit when her and Peter were together... she ruined bits of it. As much good there was, rooftop getaways, optimistic tries of heroics, and an infatuation that ran deep? There was bad too. Inadequacy, jealousy, disinterest in the mundane maskless photo.

Felicia didn't really see until their relationship was buried that she could have prevented it. He isn't purely innocent, though – and on their back and forth on spicier nights where Felicia was tempted to leave marks on him in the most unsexy fashion ever? She lets him know.

They both know and it was just life takes them down different roads, but they meet up from time to time. Like tonight. It makes it easy to tease him, selfishly drop those innuendos to get him frustrated. She doesn't need Spider Sense to know she does.

By the time the smoke begins to disappear, dense and all that remains is the shell of the bomb itself – Felicia was standing up with a curtsy in a mocking way. ]

Thank you, thank you. Not bad for being three weeks overdue for a chiro appointment. And – yeah, those smokebombs work wonders for getting out of bad blind dates.

[ What was that about stretching? Felicia beams up to him, like a stupid college-girl she feels good with the praise, even if she acts above it. The mention of dates has her chew her bottom lip and instead make her way to the door – a digital panel on the side. Instead of the screen lighting up, it was dead. The power gone and on the other side of the door – a low, mechanical hum. Kind of like machinery... ]

I have some bad news, Spider. Just our luck.

[ Felicia's voice does breed empathy, but more-so annoyed at the time being. ]

First, may need to save the dates until I can follow good with my word. Second, I think... we have company.

[ That they can't get into the sliding doors without some spider strength? That's another point, implied by how she gives a shrug to him in regards to the door panel. ]

They're ninjas, not thieves. They don't know the right vibration to shatter the glass of the Vault's relics. It took me four months to figure it out –

[ Which would explain the machinery trying to do its magic... What's next, webhead? ]
