When Felicia does her thing while Peter's doing his, he's once again curious about all her tinkering. He might not know the ins and outs of espionage, but he likes to think he knows his way around tech. Then again, any enthusiasm or curiosity on his part is kind of killed by the remembrance of Parker Industries. Sure, he sacrificed all that for the greater good, but it sure as hell went under in a spectacular fashion.
And then Felicia's gone before he can get a word in edgewise. He's not far behind her, taking the plunge by the time he can hear her graceful landing.
He lands on the vent in his own deft manner, minimizing the impact and thus, the sound. This could all be a lot worse, but on the bright side? He's still following her from behind, and it's her behind that's the first thing he sees. After catching up without much difficulty, he tails her closely and clears his throat. ]
Look, I get it. You're not a fan of how I do things, or... why I do them.

But if I could vent for a moment, you know there's a lot I'd have done differently if I was only in it for myself. It still freaks me out to imagine. Hell, it still freaks me out to remember.
[ He's punning because she struck a nerve. For one thing, he remembers just how much he hates symbiote stuff (at least Eddie's on the mend, now). For another thing, he remembers what he's been driven to do when things became too personal, and his personal interests became more immediate. Norman, Fisk, the Kravinoffs... all of them driving Peter closer to a line he won't cross. Whatever waits on the other side, what kind of Spider-Man he would be at that point, is something he never wants to see. ]
